Does my donation really help? Where does it go? How is it spent?

The office is focused on being transparent and helping you understand how your dollars are spent when you contribute to the AA Cleveland District Office.

From last year’s Expenses pie chart, you can see the office meets its primary mission of helping the sick and suffering alcoholic by spending 78% of your dollars on actual Programs and Services that benefit the AA community while keeping administrative costs down below industry average.

The Income pie chart shows that total income is primarily split between Literature Sales and Contributions.

However, it is important to note that there is no profit in Literature Sales. We pass literature onto members at or near cost as a service. The small markup that does exist is to help cover associated costs.

This means, in keeping with the Seventh Tradition , it’s truly your contribution (99%) which funds the office and keeps the doors open for the next suffering alcoholic.
