Job Description
The Outreach & Member Coordinator will work within the Cleveland District Office to engage with community partners such as hospitals, jails, treatment centers, and other organizations. The coordinator will foster positive relationships, update meeting schedules, and oversee community health and outreach initiatives. This position requires a proactive communicator with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to community health improvement.
Responsibilities

Outreach and Relationship Building
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with local hospitals, jails, treatment centers, and other health-related organizations
- Serve as a liaison between the Cleveland District Office and community partners to facilitate communication and coordinate outreach efforts
- Schedule regular check-ins with partners to assess needs, gather feedback, and ensure alignment on outreach objectives
- Fills speaker requests for churches, schools, the business community, civic organizations and the judicial system

Meeting and Schedule Coordination
- Communicates regularly with the area AA groups
- Make contact, location, time and other changes to 900+ area AA group records in an Administrative Panel in order to maintain accurate data for online meeting searches and print meeting schedules
- Update and manage a calendar of events, meetings, and program schedules with community partners
- Coordinate and distribute information regarding upcoming meetings, ensuring all relevant stakeholders have updated schedules
- Support logistical arrangements for meetings, including reserving spaces, arranging technology, and sending reminders

Volunteer Coordinator
- Coordinate weekday and weekend phone volunteers
- Train volunteers how to use and answer phones and answer common questions
- Email onboarding instructions for weekend phones and field questions

Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, partner interactions, and meeting outcomes
- Generate reports and provide updates to Cleveland District Office leadership on outreach efforts and community impact

Community Engagement
- Attend community events, health fairs, and other relevant gatherings to represent the Cleveland District Office
- Work collaboratively with community stakeholders to enhance the visibility and accessibility of office programs

Cashier
- Assist Literature Department as cashier when needed
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Process cash and credit card sales transactions accurately and efficiently

Other Responsibilities
- Grow Twelfth Step contact list via member contact
- Maintain community relations by participating in select health fairs and other events
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years sobriety
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in community outreach, public health, communications, social work or related field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in managing scheduling and coordinating meetings
Working Hours
- This is a full-time position, Monday thru Friday, from 9am to 5pm
- Occasional after-hour meetings and appointments required
Compensation
- $44,000-$46,000/year
