CANCELED! Corrections Committee & Cooperation with the Professionals

January 15, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Due to weather, this meeting has been canceled.
Come Join Us Every 3rd Monday at 6:00 pm at the Cleveland District Office

Corrections Committee Meeting

Starting at 6:00 pm

You’re invited to attend the monthly Corrections Committee business meetings, held at the AA Cleveland District Office the third Monday of every month (fourth Monday if the third is a holiday). Anyone may attend; sheets will not be signed as this is not an A.A. meeting.

If you wish to help bring the AA program of recovery to the incarcerated, join us at the Corrections Committee Meeting. It has been estimated that 80% of all incarcerated are there as a result of alcohol and drugs.

For questions, please contact the Cleveland District Office at (216) 241-7387 and your information will be forwarded to the Volunteer Chairperson.

Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC)

Starting at 6:30 pm

Members of C.P.C. committees inform professionals and future professionals about A.A.— what we are, where we are, what we can do, and what we cannot do. They attempt to establish better communication between A.A.s and professionals, and to find simple, effective ways of cooperating without affiliating. — Reprinted from www.aa.org, with permission of A.A. World Services, Inc.

The purpose of our committee is to provide information on A.A. to professionals who may come in contact with the still suffering alcoholic.

A.A. is considered by many professionals to be a valuable resource for alcoholics who want help. When there is a good working relationship between A.A. members in the community and professionals who come in contact with alcoholics, the afflicted alcoholic is the winner he or she gets the help needed from both.

We are not in competition with these professionals; we have our separate functions. A.A. is not in the business of education, research, medicine, counseling, treatment, prevention, or funding. We simply have a message to carry about a program of recovery for alcoholics.

Anyone interested in joining this service committee is welcome to join us!

This we owe to A.A.’s future; to place our common welfare first; to keep our Fellowship united.
